New York – July 27, 2015 – Mas Nakachi, CEO of OpenGamma, has been recognized as a leader in the Institutional Investor 2015 Tech 50 for the second year in a row, solidifying his position amongst the “global financial technology elite.”
The “Tech 50,” published annually by Institutional Investor, honors the top innovators at the intersection of technology and finance. This year’s list highlights leaders across the industry for their ability to “think big about the global or macro implications of technology-driven change.”
Nakachi is recognized for leading discussions with regulators, and furthering the company’s efforts to move the industry toward open and transparent technologies.
“The future of finance is decentralized systems,” Nakachi said, noting blockchain and other open source-driven disruptors as key developments over the next three to five years
As Institutional Investor notes, recent board appointments of former ICAP executive Mark Beeston and former Sungard CEO Cristóbal Conde, both former “Tech 50” honorees, mean that there is no shortage of innovation in OpenGamma’s directive on market structure.
Compiled by the editorial team at Institutional Investor, the list evaluates nominees based on four attributes: achievements and contributions over the course of a career; scope and complexity of responsibilities; influence and leadership inside and outside the organization; and pure technological innovation.
